Craig started UGS in 2020 with a black Corsa bakkie and one gardener. He saw a need for a gardening service that local clients could truly rely on—and built his business around quality work, reliable service and no shortcuts.
His roots in Richards Bay go back to 1995. After moving from Durban with his family, Craig attended Richardia Primary and John Ross College. Sport helped him find his community and shaped the discipline and teamwork he still values today.

From 2006 to 2019, Craig worked at South32. The professional standards and discipline he gained there helped shape how he now manages his own business and supports his team.
As UGS grew, he invested in more equipment, larger vehicles and more people. By 2024, UGS had added a second H100 vehicle and was operating with two teams.
Today, Craig remains actively involved with both teams: checking jobs, supporting staff and making sure standards are followed. A proud father of two, he believes in consistency, hard work and treating people properly.
